A second successive low-scoring affair for Scunthorpe was also their fourth clean sheet in five, while extending Charlton’s winless run to four matches. This looks to have been an even game in which the visitors can be slightly more disappointed with the draw. Worryingly for the hosts, they didn’t succeed in troubling the Addicks’ goalkeeper for over half an hour in the second period.
This was a third consecutive defeat for Swindon but the data suggests that they were the worthier winners here. They look to have deservedly led at half time, having kept Bristol Rovers largely quiet, only to be undone in a more even second half by a penalty and an own goal in quick succession. Rovers will be pleased to have recorded a win after four successive draws, but a fifth consecutive stalemate would perhaps have been a fairer outcome.
