League 1 timelines, 3 Nov 2018
Here are the individual timeline graphics for the latest round of matches, using my revised template for the new season. There’s a full explanation of these here for anyone who’s not seen them before.
After a sluggish start that saw no shots for more than 20 minutes, Bristol Rovers exploded to a dominant 3-0 win at Blackpool that keeps them outside the relegation zone. Fellow strugglers Bradford looked as though they should have secured at least a point from an impressive home performance against leaders Portsmouth. Joey Barton’s half time team talk certainly put a rocket up his Fleetwood side after a poor first half, but their flurry of chances after the interval amounted to nothing and host Gillingham put the game to bed shortly afterwards. You have to feel a bit sorry for Rochdale, who dominated in-form Luton but were unable to find a way through. Walsall put in an anonymous first half performance at home to Burton, failing to register a single shot until after they were already 3-0 down.
