Attacking effectiveness
- Yeovil and, to a lesser extent, Bolton are still frustrating in front of goal, although the latter are at least creating plenty of chances.
- While Reading, Bournemouth and Derby vie for the most clinical attack, it’s Middlesbrough who continue to create the most chances: virtually twice as many as Millwall have so far.
Defensive effectiveness
- QPR seem determined to make this graphic unreadable with yet another clean sheet – I’m almost at the stage where I’m willing them to lose heavily just so it makes this appear less ridiculous.
- Reading and Huddersfield are seemingly reliant on their defence to soak up a lot of pressure – the former conceded a horrific amount of shots in the Premier League last season and clearly this wasn’t all down to the superior quality of their opposition.
